Clallam Bay Water Conservation Alert

5:00 p.m. Update.  A temporary bypass has been installed around the water main break at Middle Point in Sekiu. PUD crews are now able to transfer water to the Clallam Bay reservoir once again. Forks and Sekiu Office Drive-up Windows Reopening.

The Forks and Sekiu office drive-through windows will re-open on Monday, December 21. Below is the original message regarding the positive case of COVID. 12/4/20 - Last week a Clallam PUD employee in Forks tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution all employees who may have had potential contact with the employee are being tested and are observing District isolation protocols for responding to this event. Gales Addition/Mt Angeles/Monroe water systems subject to City of Port Angeles Stage 2 water alert

PUD #1 of Clallam County is asking water utility customers in the Gales Addition, Monroe and Mt. Angeles Water Districts to begin voluntary water conservation measures. This is a Stage 2 Water Alert from the PUD’s Drought Response Plan. Island View & Clallam Bay/Sekiu Water System Drought Alerts

PUD #1 of Clallam County (PUD) is asking water utility customers in the Island View Water District to begin outdoor water use restrictions. This is a Stage 3 Response from the District’s Drought Response Plan. Effective immediately customers are to limit outdoor water use to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. CARES Residential Utility Assistance Funds Now Available

Clallam PUD is the subrecipient of CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) funds from the County to go towards residential utility relief related to COVID-19 financial hardship and is now accepting applications. The funds are designated for Clallam PUD residential customers and will be disbursed on a first come-first served basis to qualifying customers who submit a completed application with documentation to demonstrate a financial hardship directly related to COVID-19 such as reduced hours or job loss. Columbia River System Operations EIS Released

The Columbia River System Operations (CRSO) final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been released. The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires federal agencies to provide such review, analysis and disclosure, in this case, as it relates to the Columbia River System. This is the culmination of a lengthy and comprehensive multiagency process and has resulted in a significant document which was also subject to a public comment process.
