Clallam Bay Water Conservation Alert
February 19, 2021
  • 5:00 p.m. Update.

A temporary bypass has been installed around the water main break at Middle Point in Sekiu. PUD crews are now able to transfer water to the Clallam Bay reservoir once again. Until a permanent solution can be put into place next week, the PUD is asking water customers in Clallam Bay to continue to moderate their water usage and conserve where possible in an effort to reduce the overall system demand.

Due to a water main break near Middle Point in Sekiu, the PUD is asking for all water customers in Clallam Bay to reduce water consumption and conserve water wherever possible.

PUD crews were able to isolate the section of broken main and keep most customers in water. Due to the location of the break, water levels in the Clallam Bay reservoir cannot be replenished until a repair or temporary bypass is put in place. Current water levels in the Clallam Bay reservoir should be sufficient to continue to provide water to Clallam Bay residents during the repair, however, out of an abundance of caution the PUD is requesting water conservation until further notice. The PUD will notify customers when a repair has been implemented and the Alert is no longer in effect. The PUD is working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience.
