On August 2nd, 2016 the City of Port Angeles stopped adding fluoride to its potable water supply. The PUD purchases water from the City of Port Angeles for its Gales Addition, Monroe, and Mt. Angeles Water Districts.
If you are in the above Clallam PUD Water Districts you are no longer receiving fluoridated water.
According to the City, fluoridation will be suspended until the issue is placed on the City ballot in November 2017. Individuals and families should consult their dentist or primary care provider to discuss their dental health and their specific fluoride needs.
