Customers are currently experiencing longer wait times on the phone. This is due in part to a variety of issues that many businesses are facing:
- We are hiring new customer service representatives (CSRs) and the application pool has been significantly less than pre-COVID.
- Experienced CSRs need to take time to be shadowing the new CSRs so that they can be trained.
- We are experiencing intermittent COVID exposures causing absences.
- Our facilities are now open to the public so CSRs are assisting customers in person as well as answering phones.
Over the past two years we have implemented many new online forms for frequent requests such as new electrical connections, application for new service, transfer of service, service disconnection, and adding other people to an existing account.
