PUD Announces Residential Customer Survey

Clallam PUD will commence a survey of residential customers within the next two weeks. The survey will take about ten (10) days to complete by contacting a random sample of residential customers. SDS Research, a full service marketing research firm, will survey approximately 400 customers via telephone. Calls will come from the SDS Research general phone number at (208) 438-6100. Electric Rate Increase Reminder

The PUD reminds customers that the new electric rates are effective on all bills rendered on or after April 1, 2017. As announced earlier, Commissioners approved the rate increase at their December 12, 2016, public meeting. The new retail electric rates include 3.8% average increase. This equates to about $4.48 per month for the average PUD residential customer, using 1200 kWh per month. The outage began about 1:10pm and is the result of a vehicle hitting a power pole. There are about 860 customers without power. PUD crews are responding and working to restore power. Power Outages 2/8/17

CORRECTION to Update 1 (6:30pm, 2/8/17) We are currently experiencing power outages west of Port Angeles and in the Joyce areas. Approximately 250 customers are without power.  Outages began about 4:30pm.  Crews have been working and will continue through the evening to restore power to all customers. Hooker Road Construction (PUD’s Main Office)

Beginning January 3rd the County will move its Carlsborg Sewer Project work to Hooker Road during day time hours. Sequim Co-op PUD Payment Center Will Close 12/30/16

Effective Friday, December 30th at 12:30pm, the PUD’s payment center at the Sequim Co-op will close permanently. Originally opened as a temporary solution for staff and operations to transition to the PUD’s Main Office in Carlsborg, the need to maintain the small payment center at the Co-op is no longer necessary. Power Outages – 12/25/16 (Final Update)

Final Update (11:00pm) Crews restored power to the remaining 4 customers about 10:45pm, and completed necessary repairs.
