3:00 pm: CPUD water crews have completed adjustments at the mainline prv station providing pressure to this area. All customers should have normal water pressure, if any customers experience water discoloration or entrained air in their water it should clear after running their taps for a few minutes.
Clallam PUD customer service received some calls related to low pressure Monday June 10th following some flushing performed by the CPUD water crew on Finn Hall Rd. After some initial troubleshooting by the CPUD water crew on Tuesday June 11th, additional low pressure calls were received around 12:00 pm from customers along Old Olympic Hwy, Gehrke Rd. and Finn Hall Rd. CPUD water staff quickly determined that all calls were isolated to a single area, downstream of a mainline PRV station – Fairview Pressure Zone 6. The CPUD water crew is onsite and addressing a malfunctioning mainline pressure reducing valve. All customers should have water at this time, but there may be periods of reduced pressure as the crew completes repairs. If any customers experience water discoloration or entrained air in their water it should clear after running their taps for a few minutes.
There are approximately 95 water service accounts in this pressure zone that may be impacted with periods of low water pressure until repairs are complete.
