UPDATE 5 (10:00am on 11/11)
Power has been restored to the Neah Bay area and off of Mount Angeles Road.
UPDATE 4 (9:37am on 11/11)
The PUD experienced multiple outages overnight, with the largest being in the Joyce area (see updates below).
Outages continue in Neah Bay and off of Mount Angeles Road. Crews are working both areas, and power is expected to be restored in the Mount Angeles area by around Noon, if not sooner. There is no estimate for the Neah Bay area.
All outages are weather related.
UPDATE 3 (6:05am on 11/11):
All customers should be back in power after crews worked throughout the night. Cause was weather related issues.
UPDATE (11:10pm on 11/10):
PUD crews are on scene working to restore power. Access to the affected area is challenging, but we anticipate about 1/3 of the customers will be back in power by approximately 12:30am. There is no estimate for full restoration at this time but PUD crews will continue to work the outage.
The specific cause is unknown, but appears to be weather related.
Original Post (9:30pm on 11/10)
At approximately 9:00pm customers in the Joyce area began experiencing a power outage. Approximately 650 customers are without power.
PUD crews are investigating the cause. No estimate for restoration of power is available at this time.
