POSITION:  Student Intern I – Engineering
HEADQUARTERS:  Carlsborg
STATUS:   Full-time Temporary, Non-exempt Staff Position (Not to Exceed 180 Days) Must be a full-time student
WORK WEEK:  Monday – Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
SUPERVISOR: Distribution System Supervisor
RATE OF PAY:  $22.00 per hour (no benefits)

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide an electrical engineering student with an opportunity to learn first-hand about the duties and responsibilities of power engineers in electric utilities through a summer internship program. To provide the student with a quality summer work experience in the field of power engineering.

Candidates’ abilities and qualifications will be evaluated using a cognitive test, supplemental questionnaire; work history; credit, criminal and background check, employment references and recommendations, education, certifications and training courses completed; and an interview to determine skills and abilities needed to fulfill the requirements of this position.

Based upon these evaluations, District Management will make the selection.
