Notice of Scheduled Outages for West End

There will be two scheduled outages in the West End for maintenance work that crews are trying to accomplish before the start of school. Scam Alert – Be Aware

Clallam PUD is warning customers of possible telephone scams where the caller poses as a PUD employee and attempts to collect money through various means. This has happened sporadically throughout the year to both residential and business customers not only at Clallam PUD, but nationwide. The most recent scam has a caller contacting business owners indicating that if the business owner does not pay the PUD immediately they would be disconnected. Stage 3 Water Alert for Additional PUD Systems – Follows City of PA’s Declaration

PUD #1of Clallam County (PUD) is implementing a Stage 3 Water Alert for water utility customers in Gales Addition, Monroe and Mt. Angeles Water Districts.  The PUD serves these areas with water acquired from the City of Port Angeles, which just declared a Stage 3 Water Shortage. Water Relief For Upper Fairview – Restrictions Reduced to Stage 3

BPA Announces New Wholesale Electric Rates

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) today announced new wholesale electric rates. In their news release, the BPA said, "The Bonneville Power Administration today adopted a 7.1 percent average wholesale power rate increase and a 4.4 percent average transmission rate increase for fiscal years 2016 and 2017. The rate increases support investments in the federal hydropower system and expansion of BPA’s high-voltage transmission system to meet regional needs. The new rates will take effect Oct. 1." Temporary Outdoor Watering for Holiday Weekend – Fire Prevention

PUD #1of Clallam County (PUD), with approval from the Washington Department of Ecology, is allowing PUD water customers in the Upper Fairview Area to use outdoor water to wet down areas around homes and building during the 4th of July holiday weekend due to the potential for fireworks related fires.
