All newsJoin Us in Celebrating Public Power Week!
Clallam PUD is one of approximately 2,000 public power utilities that provide electricity to 54 million people across the country.
Clallam PUD was voted into existence in 1940 and has since added water, wastewater, and wholesale broadband services.
Clallam PUD not only works for Clallam County, it is Clallam County. Public power utilities are community-owned, which means the people of Clallam County are included in making key decisions about our energy future.
Clallam PUD invites community members to participate in an open house at the Carlsborg Main Office, on Monday, October 7, located at 104 Hooker Rd. in Carlsborg from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for coffee and cookies with the Commissioners in the Lake Crescent boardroom where you can ask your questions in an informal chat format. Visit department displays around the lobby and boardroom showcasing the projects and work that goes on behind the scenes of the utility. Pick up an LED carabiner while supplies last. Weather-depending, there will be a bucket truck on display in the parking lot. Kid-sized “hard hats” will be available for photo ops in the lobby with a bucket from a truck. The displays will be available for viewing all week. At our Forks office, customers are welcome to stop by for coffee and cookies and to pick up an LED carabiner while supplies last.
Have your child complete one of the following coloring pages and return to a PUD office near you either at 104 Hooker Rd. in Carlsborg, or 31 Spartan Ave. in Forks by Wednesday, October 9 for a chance to win a prize! (Put your child’s first name and age on the front and your name and contact info on the back please!)
Follow us on social media as we celebrate the week and tell us what local ownership means to you. Look for information about a coloring contest that will be part of the celebration.
