Automatic Payment through Electronic Funds Transfer or Recurring Credit Card Payment

Paying your PUD Bill can easily be handled automatically, either by transfer from your bank account or by a monthly charge to your Visa or MasterCard. There is no extra charge for either service. If you are interested you may pick up a signup form at any office or call and request that we mail one to you or click on Application form and submit the application with your monthly PUD statement. A Customer Service Representative will contact you for verification on receipt of your completed application.

Normally, your automatic payment begins with the next billing after we receive your signed form. If your utility account is not at a zero balance when you sign up, you will need to pay your current balance by check or cash. You will continue to receive a monthly billing statement with a message at the bottom of the bill indicating payment by Electronic Funds Transfer or Recurring Credit Card Payment. Your EFT or RCCP payment will show as a "payment" on your utility bill.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

If you are interested in funds transfer from your bank account, ask for an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) form. You will fill out and sign the form, then return it with a voided check or deposit slip. It takes about 10 days for our "prenote" process to verify your direct payment information with your bank. Your bank will be notified each month thereafter of your billing amount. The bank will automatically pay that amount from your bank account. Recurring Credit Card Payment (RCCP)

If you are interested in recurring payment by credit card, ask for a Recurring Credit Card Payment (RCCP) form. We accept MasterCard or VISA, credit, debit or check cards. Your payment will be automatically processed on the bill’s due date or the first business day thereafter. Your payment will appear on your monthly statement from your credit card company.
